To share

Dear friends,

These are some of the life lessons I've learned so far:

-think before you speak: there is simply nothing worse than spewing out words you'll regret the very moment you realize that you never meant it.
-love, regardless: love is not lost, it is passed on with great intentions
-be humble: to know is one thing - be humble for everything you are
-laugh and dance: do it like no one's watching, and if they are they'll join you - if not, they'll save it for later
-be patient: if we take the time, surely some good will come
-think and then stop thinking: give yourself that edge over everyone, then fall into abyss. We all need a break at one point or another
-trust: sometimes trust comes in the form of a risk, but without it, we've taken ourselves out of life's equation

I admit, I don't always follow my own advice but what I say is true. We don't need a new year to try to be better people, everyday is a chance to change. "Live, Love and Laugh"

A half true story

Dear friends and foes,

As I have been away for a while I wanted to leave you with a bit of a half truth encounter of my night:

Tonight I managed to convince my friend I needed a new coat made with dog fur, then I proceeded to say that they should breed dogs until they're old - no ripe, and shave their fur off. Once they can no longer produce anymore fur, I would rip their skin off and make myself some nice warm yet fashionable gloves. But I would never ever in my entire life eat a dog, that my friends is against my religion

The hideous benefits of working in Customer Service

So I've been working the last month in customer service. I meet people of all types and sometimes I'm even unable to hold back the laughter.

-as you can tell, I'm clearly working super hard awaiting customers.

"Oh, why hello! How can I help you?"

customer #1: "can i uhhh...have a lottery ticket"

Customer #2: "can I have some senior tickets?"

"sure... what happened to your eyes! Did you get beaten?"

customer #2: "Thanks!"

customer #3: "uhm hunny, can i haf 10 student teeekets?"

"oh shit girl put on an undershirt!"

-twiddles thumbs-

Customer #4: "hey, can i haf some..."

"man, that's some serious cat-eye?"

Customer #5: "I'd like to have..."

Custom #5 : "This one and... this one and..."

"uhm why are you so surprised...!!?!"

"and this one... and this"

"sigh... back to work"

Gorgeous Rain

from the Great Lakes
to the London drains

along the street crevice
and through the Nile river

a phase alteration
floating into
the fountain from heaven above

the weight bearing upon
no longer
released drop by drop

from the world
to the palm of your hand

along the tips of your fingers
through the strands of your hair

washing away yesterday's baggage
gorgeous rain

Top 5 - Summer Products

Hey girls and boys!! Long time no see. I hope everyone is having a lovely summer, I know I am. I just wanted to stop by and tell you about my top 5 must have summer products. I'm listing these as summer products but of course you can still use them in all seasons. Enjoy!

In no particular order:

Original Carmex Moisturizing Lip Balm with SPF 15

This is my utmost favourite lip lipbalm/chapstick whatever you want to call it. I have some of the dryest lips ever and I find myself picking at the dead skin more often then not (i know, gross!). I'm also a lipbalm junkie, which means I've tried anything from nivea to lipsmackers. Some are too waxy, too medicated, too greasy, or plain too ineffective. This however is the perfect mix of medicated and moisturizing. The active ingredients listed are Octinoxate and Oxybenzone which are both primarily used for sun protection. My lips are smooth, and moisturized when I have this on. This is definitely a Holy Grail lipbalm good for both women and men.

Annabelle Smoothliner - Waterproof + Long Lasting

My friend introduced this to me a while back when we were getting ready at her house one night. This is a pencil liner that goes on smoothly. I never thought I'd go back to pencil liners until I discovered this one. It goes on smoothly for tightlining or lining your upper lashline. It is also relatively waterproof. Also for about 7 dollars at the drugstore, its a huge bargain!

Elf Natural radiance Blusher - Glow

I have a drawer full of blushes ranging from drugstore to high end and I still find myself reaching for this blush. It has the most perfect pink 'glow' effect. I put a little bit on my cheeks and the residual across the top of my forehead and over my nose. On days when I've had little to no sleep, this blush will be able to conceal that.

Tresemme Heat Tamer Spray

I cannot stress how important this product is especially if you blowdry, straighten, or curl your hair often. It has been one year since I completely damaged my hair and it is safe to say I've learned my lesson. During the summer the sun's rays are stronger and more damaging. Along with sunscreen for your skin, you should use some sort of heat protection for your hair. I spritz a bit on all over before blowdrying or stepping out into the sun for long periods of time.

Victoria Secret - Love Spell

I love love love this scent. It is a perfect blend of Cherry Blossom, Peach and White Jasmine. I put this on the other day and even my brother noticed it. According to him no one should ever smell this good lol. I spritz this on all over but be careful not to over spray. It can become overpowering.

All in all I'm pretty satisfied with these products. Since this is only my top 5, I didn't get to mention some other products that I use frequently. You should try to buy a good moisturizer with spf, a nice sunless tanner for your legs which tend to be lighter than the rest of your body, and oh yes, a nice pair of sunglasses. Until next time, enjoy the sun.

xoxo à bientôt

A Fine Frenzy - Happier

outfit of the day ~ at school

Its been raining all day and alas my dear friends... I've lost yet another roll up the rim. It seems that my life has somewhat mirrored the game since Tim Horton's started their '2010 - Roll up the Rim' on March 1st. I've pretty much bought a cup everyday and have only been pleasantly surprised twice to see 'gagne une cafe'. Perhaps there is a much more deserving RAV 4 waiting for me at the end of this ... =) I shall not give up!

Princess Vintage Inspiration

The look today is based on a beautiful bridal look by a talented young makeup artist. Please check her stuff out: AskmeMakeup. Overall this look is super simple to achieve. It'll work on pretty much any eye shape... even mine.

My interpretation:

- Non-spf moisturizer
- MAC Studio Finish Concealer - NC 20
- Rimmel Foundation
- Mac Mineralized Powder - Medium

- Too Faced Shadow Insurance
- Annabelle eyeshadow 225 (Matte Off white colour)
- Estee Lauder - Amethyst (Shimmering brown, copper undertones)
- MAC Shroom Eyeshadow
- 88 Palette - Very dark brown (Matte or shimmery is fine)
- Revlon Colorstay - Black Pencil Eyeliner
- L'oreal Carbon Black Liquid Eyeliner
- Estee Lauder Water Proof Mascara
- Ebay False Lashes

- MAC bronzer
- Elf Pink Lemonade Cream Blush

- Carmex
- NYX lip pencil
- Estee Lauder Signature : 33 Apricot Sun

Conceal blemishes and apply your foundation sparingly. Lately with foundation I've been applying it with my hand (Clean hand of course). The heat from your body helps to emulsify and blend in the foundation. Dust off with some Mineralized Powder to set your foundation. Next I used a small eyeshadow brush and with my bronzer, I contoured right underneath my cheek bone. You don't want it to be overly obvious, so blend blend blend. We're not going for Jersey Shore ladies =P. I then applied some cream blush on the apples of my cheeks and blended it out. You want your cheeks to have a healthy glow. The best way to achieve this would be a cream blush.

I applied my primer all over my eyelid and on my bottom lash. Using a fluffy brush I applied the off white colour all over my eye. taking the Amethyst (brown) I created the illusion of a double lid. Feel for your brow bone and apply the brown colour right beneath the brow bone. When you reach the outer corner of your eye, make a v shape that connects to the line you just drew. Take your fluffy brush blend only along the brown so you can blend out the harsh line. Take the fluffy brush, dip it in Shroom and apply that to the center part of your lid. You want that part to be highlighted. You can even highlight your brow bone with that. If you're brown colour is still too dark, take some of the shroom and gently sweep it over the brown as you blend. It'll help soften up the harsh line. Add a tiny bit of black into the v and blend away. This helps to define your corner. Tight line using your pencil eyeliner. Then using your liquid eyeliner, line the top and wing it out. Try to keep the line thin as you are not going for dramatic. Curl and Apply some mascara. Use false lashes if you wish. I took one pair and cut it in half. I'll have to show a tutorial for that next.

The lip part was super simple. Girls don't be afraid to try bright colours. I used to think I wouldn't be able to pull it off and though I'm sure some people still might not agree with me, I like it. Just make sure you try it. Sometimes the undertones are too warm or too cool for your own skin tone. So you'll just have to keep trying until you find the proper shades. If you are going for a bright coloured lip I suggest using a lip pencil first. You don't want your lipstick to bleed into your lips or worse yet, bleed out (picture : Clown lips). I used a NYX lip pencil to line. Applied my Apricot and smoothed it out with my finger.

You can take this look flip it, turn it and see where it goes! Please ignore my stupid poses. I don't know how to smile on cam...

Princess Mulan? haha

I really only like this for the lips. Its important to use Lip Liner!!!!

One of my personal favourite things to do is taking off the lipstick and then applying Carmex.
Since there is still some residue, it becomes a lip stain. The carmex helps to plump up your lips.

The Last one is especially wearable for work, school or play =) Good Luck Princesses.~
